Hello, my name is Eve. "Listening to the rhythm of Mars’ heartbeat, Humans alongside Demihumans under the titles of Demons and Angels live in a world where magic is controlled by beat and tempo with their own rhythm ways by their feet and fingertips. Amélie Hyun, a 22 year old uni student that fails to hear the beat of Mars’ heart finds herself studying resonance in hopes that she could one day achieve perfect resonance."

TSOM's World
The Stars On Mars takes place on Mars in the 2080s, 26 years after it was colonised due to Earth's overpopulation issue that has lasted for decades.Its main cast lives on Starleche, Mars' first and most well known continent.

The Beings
| What Is The Difference? |

| Demons and Angels are the two different types of powerful beings in this world that originate from Earth. |
| Demons are organic and fleshy in nature while Angels are inorganic and rock-like in form, this is the main indicator of what makes a being a Demon or an Angel, or in some cases a Hybrid (both Demon and Angel). |
| Demon blood is simply referred to as blood while Angel blood is referred to as 'goop'. |
| Demons can regenerate parts of their body, although this can take months. However, Angels have to glue parts back together through a similar method of KINTSUGI. |
| How Does Life Work? |

| Demons: Demons are born after a couple of months in the womb, they then start gaining powers as they grow, and when they die they become malformed if their body is not treated fast enough. |
| Angels: Angels are born through a Core which is the life source of an Angel (the heart), a Core comes from a womb and is put into a huge Geode filled with water, the growth then proceeds from there, and they turn into statues upon death. |

| In some occasions, if the Core of an Angel is chipped and is not put back in place, the Angel will 'bleed out' and upon death will not turn into a statue. |

Powers In TSOM: The Source Of Magic
| The Beginning |

| In the world of The Stars On Mars, there is a religion called Starism that most Demonfolk believe in. There were two elder gods, their names being One of Flesh and One of Bone(Stone) who created the universe, and their creation(daughter) Rhapsody, her title lost to time, who would be regarded as the Lost Spirit. She would be given two wolves as loyal pets, there was Leggero with the sharpest of claws, and Larghetto with the biggest golden heart. |

| The two elder gods created the planets and made planet Earth, yet there was nothing but scenery to behold, so Rhapsody created life and on top of that, Demihumans, forming them with inspiration from the two elders and herself. |
| "The flesh of humanity, what keeps their hearts pumping, their bones that keep them upright like a temple, and the spirit that makes them curious, always striving to be Better." |
| These creatures and humanoids were modelled after the other gods, they were similar in form but different almost entirely, ones organic and ones inorganic in form. The elder gods soon found out about the creations their daughter made and the One of Bone loved what she had done to planet Earth, watching the creatures below create things by hand and create bonds with one another, but the One of Flesh hated it, loathing the concept of conflict and fighting within these creatures. |
| The One of Flesh was angered by how their lives didn’t seem to be permanent, and the thought of death was an idea that the god was terrified of, as the creatures below were as soft and malleable as they were. |
| This caused conflict between the two elder gods that the younger god couldn’t handle, so she buried herself in her work to a point of no return. The two hounds pitied their owner, and together they combined their strengths. |
| "Larghetto’s chest and ribs split in two exposing its golden heart, it beat with the power of a thousand drums and Leggero, its twin, leapt through space, cutting through the cosmos with its claws, they grew sharper, collecting smaller stars as they shredded through the darker void, the two would create the very first perfect resonance, the two elder gods stared on in amazement, as they came to realise that their true strength only shone when they worked together, but their daughter was not so lucky." |
| Rhapsody took a mortal form on the planet that she adored, and finally found peace after the endless bickering. |
“There was Allegro the Bright, a child reminiscent of a sparkling gem,
with a mind so clever.Andante the Night, a ghostly son whose heart was as pure as gold.Alto the Light, a fiery child of Rhapsody who would sing his heart out,
a champion in everything that he did.And Sforzando the Might, a son of nature and kindness,
who would work well with everyone he knew.”

| The two elder gods had only noticed when it was too late, and they grieved as they watched her try to manage as best she could with the little amount of power she had left. |
| Rhapsody decided to make 4 more creations that she held dearly and called her sons, and they would rule kingdoms of their own and do their best to care for their dear mother. |
| Rhapsody and her children had a following, and she had saints with souls that believed so Strongly for what they fought for that any reincarnated form of theirs would always strive for such. |
| Amongst these few saints was a woman that grew up rather unfortunate, and she wanted nothing more than to provide for the poor children who had no where else to go, no one else to provide for them, as she saw herself in these children and wanted to give them good lives for as long as they lived, even if it was only for a brief amount of time. |
| It were souls like these that continued to serve for the better good in other spirits, setting a good example and putting Rhapsody at ease as she eventually lay on her deathbed. |
| Upon Rhapsody's death her sons and loyal pets mourned — feeling very guilt-ridden — Larghetto ran around and buried itself deep into Mars’ core, leaving Leggero to sought out its twin amongst the stars, its claws scraping against the bright lights, and causing tempo to form even stronger as both elder gods mourned, refusing to lay down to rest until it found Larghetto. |
